Armed bandits have reportedly launched coordinated attacks on Birnin Gwari and Kachia local government areas of Kaduna State, kidnaping several residents and leaving many others injured.
A resident verified in a voicemail to SaharaReporters‘ New York office that bandits broke into Ingade village, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, firing intermittently before kidnapping six residents and injured two more.

The source said that the attackers coerced the terrified victims into complying while they were transported to an unidentified location by threatening to kill anyone who objected.
Security personnel came after the criminals had already escaped with their victims, according to the source.
Meanwhile, the sources pointed out that despite the government’s publicly proclaimed peace pact and the alleged crackdown on media coverage of their actions, bandits in the state seem to have become more bold.
The number of verified kidnappings by bandits in Kujama, the capital of Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna State, earlier in the day has risen to 12, according to a Tuesday night report from SaharaReporters.
Additionally, a body believed to be one of the kidnapped victims was reportedly found along the escape route used by the bandits.
According to a local trader resident in the community, in addition to abducting a medical doctor, a security guard, and several patients from a private hospital, the gunmen also broke into nearby homes and took away residents.
He further revealed that five more residents, including three housewives, a young girl, and an adult male, remain unaccounted for.
Findings also revealed that a Nigeria Correctional Service security guard who was shot during the assault suffered serious injuries as a result of his refusal to accompany the abductors.
