The Peoples Democratic Party’s(PDP) National Executive Committee and Board of Trustees will convene an emergency meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, according to a faction supported by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.
Both sessions are set to take place at the party’s National Secretariat’s NEC Hall in Wadata Plaza, Abuja, according to a notification posted on Monday by the factional National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and reposted on his X handle by the FCT minister’s media assistant, Lere Olayinka.

According to the announcement, the NEC meeting will start at 11:00 a.m., while the BoT meeting will follow at 2:00 p.m.
It added, “Attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed.”
Recall that the party expelled a number of prominent members, including Wike, Anyanwu, former National Legal Advisor Kamaldeen Ajibade, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, Imo PDP Chairman Austin Nwachukwu, and others, for alleged anti-party activities on Saturday during its 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Former PDP Deputy National Chairman (South) Bode George made the proposal for their expulsion, and Bauchi State PDP Chairman Samaila Buga seconded it.

The resolution was then put to a voice vote by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who also chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum. The motion was overwhelmingly approved by delegates, indicating the party’s determination to address internal dissension and anti-party behaviour inside its ranks.
