In a statement issued to journalists in Sokoto, Malam Abubakar Bawa, Director-General of Media and Publicity for the Sokoto Government, confirmed that the operation, conducted by the Nigerian Military in collaboration with the United States, resulted in no civilian casualties.
Bawa noted that the full impact of the airstrike is yet to be determined, pending an assessment by the joint forces.
He also addressed reports of objects found near Jabo Town in Tambuwal Local Government Area, stating that their nature could not be immediately explained, as analysis by Nigerian and US military authorities is ongoing. Bawa reiterated that no civilians were harmed in Jabo Town.
