Nigerian Afrobeats star, Wizkid, has reportedly reacted strongly to comments made by his senior colleague, 2Baba, after the veteran singer ranked Burna Boy ahead of him on the global stage.

During a recent interview with Seun Okinbaloye, 2Baba shared his views on the popular “Big 3” conversation — a term used to describe Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, who are widely celebrated as Nigeria’s leading musical exports internationally.
When asked about the ongoing debate over who currently stands at the top among the trio, 2Baba named Burna Boy as the number one Nigerian artiste “on the global stage,” highlighting his global impact and international accomplishments.

His remarks have since stirred conversations online, with fans revisiting the long-standing rivalry and comparing the artistes’ global achievements, awards, and influence.
However, reacting to 2Baba’s opinion, Wizkid in a post on Snapchat, described him as old man.
While telling 2Baba to make peace with his family first instead of sharing opinion about music, Wizkid stated, “I’m never letting it slack in 2026.”
“At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music. Old man,” he added.
Recalls that Wizkid had a few months ago declared himself the country’s number one Afrobeat star.
