The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on Sunday oversaw the defection of several members from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State.

The development comes ahead of the official reception rally being organised for Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, into the party.
At the event, party supporters and the newly defected members also endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for second terms in office.
A prominent indigene of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency used the occasion to publicly appeal to the Chief of Staff to the APC National Chairman, Hon. Mustapha Bala Dawaki, to return to active politics and contest the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa House of Representatives seat.
