Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has extended his condolences to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.

Hajiya Umma passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, where she had been receiving treatment for age-related health issues.
In a statement, Malami conveyed his sympathy, expressing heartfelt condolences to El-Rufai and his family over the loss.
He described her passing as a deeply painful and irreplaceable loss, praying that Almighty Allah grants her Aljannatul Firdaus and gives the family the strength to cope with the grief.
Malami also assured El-Rufai of his continued prayers and support during this period of mourning.
