A document from the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) claims that terrorists are preparing to attack critical infrastructure in Abuja and Niger State.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, an Abuja prison, and a military detention facility in adjacent Niger state are among the intended targets, according to the Associated Press, which acquired the letter.

The NCS cautioned that the plan is similar to an attack that occurred in January at an air force base in Niger Republic where terrorists damaged an aircraft and injured four troops.
“Their intention is to release detained terrorists and inflict significant damage on critical aviation infrastructure.
“An analysis of the report reveals a concerning correlation between the potential targeting of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja and recent large-scale attacks on aviation facilities in Niger Republic, notably in Niamey and Tahoua,” the publication said.
“This suggests a possible intent by terrorists to replicate the attack patterns within Nigeria.”
