The South-West chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied reports suggesting internal division, describing them as inaccurate and misleading.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Zonal Chairman, Akinbowale Omole, dismissed the claims as baseless, stating that they were intended to create a false impression of disunity within the party.

“We received the reports alleging division in the South-West zone of the ADC with great concern,” he said. “We categorically state that such claims are unfounded and aimed at portraying the party as fragmented.”

Omole affirmed that the ADC party remains stable both in the South-West and across the country under its current national leadership.

He explained that the appointment of South-West executives followed proper procedures, having been approved by the National Caucus during its March 7, 2026 meeting and subsequently endorsed by the National Chairman.

According to him, the existing leadership structure is fully in line with the ADC party’s constitution.

He reiterated that the ADC in the South-West remains united and firmly aligned with the national leadership.
