In a goodwill message issued on Friday to mark the 2026 Workers’ Day, he congratulated workers on behalf of officers and men of the Kano State Police Command.

“On behalf of the officers and men of the Kano State Police Command, I extend warm felicitations to all workers in Kano State as we join the rest of the world to commemorate Workers’ Day 2026,” he said.

He praised workers in both the public and private sectors, describing them as the backbone of national development.

According to him, “Today, we celebrate the resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions of Nigerian workers to the socio-economic growth, peace, and development of our dear state and nation.”

Bakori also acknowledged the efforts of security personnel, teachers, healthcare workers, civil servants, journalists, traders, farmers, artisans, and transport operators, noting that their service under challenging conditions continues to sustain stability in the state.

“Your sacrifices, often under difficult conditions, have kept Kano moving forward,” he added.

He assured residents that the police would continue to prioritise safety and security in line with directives from the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, through intelligence-led policing and stronger community collaboration.

The police commissioner further urged workers and residents to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and vigilant, warning against violence and criminal activities.

“As we mark this day, I appeal to all workers and residents to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and vigilant. Shun violence, thuggery, and all forms of criminality. The Command will not relent in its fight against crime, and we count on your continued support through timely and credible information. Let us use this Workers’ Day to renew our commitment to hard work, unity, and patriotism for a safer, more prosperous Kano State,” he stated.
