The Dangote Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the ex-gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol.
The refinery announced ₦75, price reduction, slashing the per-litre cost of petrol to ₦1,200.
Recall that two days ago, the Dangote Refinery management changed the ex-depot price of petrol from 1,350 to 1,275.
According to Dangote, the last price adjustment, which raised the price of petrol by 75, is nullified by the latest pronouncement.
The reversal reduces downstream marketers’ immediate worries by restoring the previous pricing structure at the loading gantry.
Since traders had already started repositioning in anticipation of a higher price regime, industry operators say this activity has helped ease market fears.
