Aminu Tambuwal has said that former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso left the African Democratic Congress in order to test their political popularity ahead of future elections.
Aminu Tambuwal stated that the move by Obi and Kwankwaso to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) was not driven by internal crisis or division within the ADC.
According to him, their decision was simply a matter of political choice and strategy, rather than evidence of any cracks within the party.
The former Sokoto State governor made this known during an appearance on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ on Friday.
Aminu Tambuwal added that both politicians likely moved to another platform to better assess their support among Nigerians ahead of the general elections.
