Popular Nigerian singer Davido has publicly called out the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, over an alleged political plan he described as “very embarrassing.”
Taking to X in the early hours of Tuesday, Davido labelled the former Osun State governor as “the most desperate politician,” insisting that the alleged plan would not succeed.
“The most desperate politician in the world is @GboyegaOyetola, very embarrassing. Oyetola your plan no go work,” the singer wrote.
Although Davido did not reveal details of the alleged plan, his remarks come amid rising political tension in Osun State ahead of the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
The development also follows Davido’s recent announcement that he would temporarily step away from music for two months to actively campaign for the re-election of his uncle and Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke.
