A two-year-old pupil, Christianah Akanbi, alongside dozens of pupils, students, and teachers, has reportedly been abducted by suspected terrorists during coordinated attacks on communities in Oyo State.
The attacks, which occurred last Friday in communities within Oriire Local Government Area, allegedly led to the abduction of 46 persons, including seven teachers and 39 pupils and students from Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School and Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele Oyo State.
Community leaders disclosed that the gunmen also carted away four motorcycles belonging to residents during the invasion.

Among the abducted school officials in Oyo State are the Principal of Community High School, Mrs Alamu Folawe, Vice Principal Mr Ojo Jonathan, alongside teachers Mr Olatunde Zacchaeus, Mr John Olaleye, Mr Michael Oyedokun, Mrs Oladeji, and Mary Akanbi of Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School.
Several children from Yawota, Ahoro-Esinele, Oniya, and Alawusa communities in Oyo State were also reportedly taken during the attacks, sparking fear and tension across the affected areas.
The Oyo State Residents have called on security agencies and government authorities to intensify rescue efforts and restore safety in the communities.
