Abdullahi Sule has secured victory in the All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress) senatorial primary for Nasarawa North ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The result was announced by the returning officer, Musa Shuaibu Guri, who disclosed that Abdullahi Sule polled a total of 47,393 votes to clinch the party’s ticket.
He defeated his closest rival, former Deputy Governor Silas Ali Agara, who scored 2,915 votes in the exercise held on Monday, May 18.

Guri described the primary as peaceful, transparent, and successful, commending party officials and members for what he called a smooth process across the senatorial district.
However, the outcome has continued to attract mixed reactions, with some reports alleging irregularities and disruptions in parts of the district during the exercise.
Sources familiar with the process claimed that voting did not hold in several polling centres, while also alleging that some results may have been influenced by individuals linked to government interests.
Despite the controversies, the APC electoral committee went ahead to declare the results, officially confirming Sule as the party’s candidate for the Nasarawa North senatorial seat in the 2027 elections.
