Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has cautioned activist-politician Aisha Yesufu following their recent exchange of words.
Lere Olayinka said Wike has moved beyond the stage of addressing Yesufu’s remarks or engaging her directly, adding that the Minister would not descend to personal exchanges on television.
The dispute began after Wike, during a public event in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, mocked Yesufu over her failure to secure the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket for the FCT senatorial seat.

In response, Yesufu had warned the Minister to stop mentioning her name.
Reacting further, Lere Olayinka, via a Facebook post, urged the activist to focus on self-improvement, insisting she was not in a position to challenge the Minister.
He also used strong and derogatory language in his remarks, accusing her of lacking decorum and respect in her public engagements.
