The Jigawa State Government has approved the immediate suspension of five political appointees serving under the Auyo Local Government Council.

Those affected include two Supervisory Councillors and three Special Advisers to the council chairman.

In a statement issued by the Ministry for Jigawa Local Government and Community Development and signed by its Public Relations Officer, Najib Umar, the directive takes immediate effect.

The suspended officials are Bala Energy and Abdullahi Usman (both Supervisory Councillors), as well as Afake Auyo, Ussaini Biyuta Kataudi, and Kande Auyo, who serve as Special Advisers.

Although the statement confirmed the suspension was approved by the state government through the ministry, no reason was given for the decision.

The ministry further directed the affected appointees to hand over all government property and responsibilities in their possession to the Director of Administration and General Services of the Auyo Local Government Council without delay.

It added that full compliance with the directive is expected immediately.
