The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has appointed Agada Abuh Theophilus as Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, while Brian Dennis will serve as Deputy Director of New Media and Strategic Communications.
The appointments were disclosed in a statement released by the NDC’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director.
According to the statement, the party expressed optimism over the appointments, noting that both officials would bring fresh ideas, expertise and renewed energy to the party’s communication strategy.
“The NDC is pleased to welcome the appointees and is confident that their leadership will strengthen the party’s voice and improve engagement with Nigerians across different platforms,” the statement said in part.
Theophilus was described as a strategic communications expert with experience spanning political campaigns, corporate brand management, public relations and digital media. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), holds a Master’s degree in Development Communications and is currently pursuing a PhD in election administration and management.
Dennis, on the other hand, is a communications analyst with about seven years of experience in strategic and political communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
The party stated that the appointments are aimed at strengthening its communications framework and expanding its engagement with Nigerians nationwide.
