Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, says God will keep President Bola Tinubu in power until 2031.

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed confidence that God will continue to guide President Bola Tinubu in steering Nigeria until 2031, in order to advance the nation’s development.

Umahi made this statement on Thursday during an inspection of ongoing bridge projects in Lagos State, including the Carter Bridge, which is set to undergo reconstruction starting next week.

He said the Tinubu administration will continue to receive divine backing in tackling the country’s challenges, especially insecurity.

“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi said, while urging Nigerians to support and cooperate with the government’s efforts to address security issues nationwide.

He noted that no leader desires instability during their tenure, but stressed that any responsible administration must confront challenges when they arise.

“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he added.

Umahi also said that whether or not the security challenges are politically driven, he believes Tinubu will be granted the wisdom and strength to overcome them and resolve other national concerns.

He further expressed confidence that the current administration would complete all ongoing projects.

“Your hands that have started this will complete it,” he said, adding that the government remains convinced that Tinubu’s leadership enjoys divine favour.

On the Carter Bridge project, the minister disclosed that reconstruction is expected to be completed within three years, noting that it falls within the government’s five-year plan.
