Henry Okoye, the eldest brother of the defunct P-Square music group, has expressed deep skepticism regarding a future reconciliation between his twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye.
He noted that the lingering dispute between the siblings may have inflicted lasting damage on their relationship. Speaking with social commentator Jos Connection during an interview at their family residence in Plateau State, Henry acknowledged that Peter had made attempts to resolve the ongoing crisis.
However, he admitted feeling doubtful that the brothers will ever rebuild the bond they once shared. Henry appealed directly to Paul to repair his bond with Peter, reminding him of the vital support Peter provided during his time in the hospital.
He said, “Peter is trying, I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising. What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired.
“They promised me 20 per cent when they start making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that. I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them.”
Henry noted that while a full reconciliation between his brothers would bring him great joy, he remains doubtful it will ever happen.
Reflecting on past financial issues, Henry recalled an incident following his father-in-law’s passing where Peter directed him to Jude, stating that Jude was holding his funds. He urged Jude to step in and help mend the fractured ties to bring the family back together.
Finally, Henry pleaded with Paul to forgive Peter, emphasizing that Peter had stepped up to pay his medical bills when he was sick.
Backstory…
The long-standing P-Square Rift between Peter and Paul Okoye goes back years, serving as the primary catalyst for the pop duo’s initial split in 2017.
The brothers reconciled in 2021, briefly raising fans’ hopes that they had put their differences behind them. However, the reunion proved short-lived, and the pair fell out again in 2024.
The 2024 rupture erupted after Peter accused Paul and Jude of conspiring against him, launching broader allegations over the management of P-Square’s finances.
Peter further claimed to have uncovered an entity named Northside Music Limited, alleging it was secretly set up by Jude and his wife to siphon the group’s royalties.
Paul, however, publicly stood by Jude, accusing Peter of instigating the legal troubles and investigations targeting their elder brother.
In February 2025, Paul defended his decision to stand by Jude, maintaining that he knew the truth about the situation and accusing Peter of subjecting their older brother to legal scrutiny.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) subsequently arraigned Jude on financial fraud charges involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. Jude pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Appearing as a prosecution witness in the case, Peter testified against the former P-Square manager, alleging that Jude secretly incorporated Northside Music Limited to divert the music group’s earnings without authorization.
Recent Twist in The P-Square Rift
The financial dispute remains tied up in court. During a cross-examination in February 2026, Peter disclosed that he was actually a co-signatory to the Northside Entertainment Limited account, directly contradicting Jude’s prior assertion that he was the sole signatory.
Beyond the courtroom, the conflict has played out intensely in the public eye, with Peter and Paul trading bitter accusations over the nature of their relationship and Jude’s role in P-Square’s downfall.
Against this backdrop, Henry’s recent intervention marks another attempt by a family member to persuade the brothers to settle their grievances.
While expressing his desire to see the family reunited, Henry stated he had forgiven his siblings and begged them to put the long-running feud behind them.
