Over 96 percent of the expected results from the Osun governorship election—comprising 3,613 out of 3,763 polling units—have been uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
An inspection of the IReV dashboard early Sunday morning showed that 150 polling unit results were still outstanding, though uploads were actively continuing, as marked by a fresh entry recorded at 2:37 a.m.
As of approximately 4:00 a.m., incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke maintained an early lead based on the uploaded figures. However, the data posted to the portal does not represent the official final outcome until formal collation and a final declaration are completed.
INEC is expected to continue uploading the outstanding results and collating the figures before the returning officer formally declares the winner of the Osun governorship election.

Adeleke leading Oyebamiji with 78,227 votes
Following the release of the results from 20 local government areas in the Osun governorship election, Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has established a commanding lead over his All Progressives Congress, or APC, opponent, Bola Oyebamiji.
Adeleke received 365,922 votes, while Oyebamiji received 287,695, according to the results, which were declared at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, collation center in Osogbo.
Ten of the thirty local government districts in the state have not yet released their results, giving the incumbent governor a 78,227-vote edge.
With 9,124 votes from all 20 LGAs, Najeem Salaam, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is in third place.
Strong results in a number of locations, including Ede North, Ede South, and Osogbo, have increased Adeleke’s advantage.

Adeleke scores highest votes, set to be declared winner
Latest reports have revealed that the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, has polled a total of 511,067 votes in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
This followed the completion of result collation from all of the state’s local government areas by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, secured 444,815 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) placed third with 17,180 votes.
With collation complete, INEC is now set to announce the final outcome of the closely contested election.
