Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly died.
His daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his passing on Sunday evening during a live session on her Instagram page.
The development comes just days after Kira revealed that her father had been battling stage four cancer.
Ogogo was a respected figure in the Nigerian movie industry and was particularly renowned for his appearances in Yoruba-language films and his contributions to the growth of Nollywood.
Before his reported death, efforts were said to have been made to secure medical care and support for the veteran actor.
Among those reportedly said to have provided financial assistance was the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Ogun State, Adeola Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi.
