The Delta State PDP criticized the APC, claiming they lack credibility to discuss debt management. The PDP accused the APC-led federal government of reckless borrowing, escalating the national debt from N7 trillion under PDP’s 16-year rule to over N90 trillion in eight years. The PDP defended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s efforts to reduce Delta’s debt by N180 billion and save over N205 billion, contrasting this with what they described as the APC’s mismanagement of the national economy.
