NLC’s Ajaero Declares Resilience After Police Inquiry.
President Joe Ajaero Declares Union Undaunted After Police Inquiry
Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has asserted that the union will not succumb to intimidation following his recent police interrogation at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja. Ajaero faced questions over serious allegations, including terrorism financing and cybercrime, but dismissed these claims as baseless. Supported by prominent figures like human rights lawyer Femi Falana and activist Deji Adeyanju, Ajaero emphasized the NLC’s commitment to workers’ rights and the fight for the full implementation of the minimum wage. The union, he declared, remains resolute in its mission despite external pressures.
