Stakeholders and chieftains of the Southern zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are reportedly in a meeting in Lagos over party’s zoning of offices ahead of the forthcoming convention of the party.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri are attending the “PDP Southern Zoning Consultative Summit.”

Senator Adelphus Wabara, the party’s chairman of the board of trustees, and Barrister Ifeanyi Ossai, the deputy governor of Enugu and a representative of Governor Peter Mba, are also included.
Among those present are former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Ebonyi Governor Sam Egwu, former Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, former Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker Jumoke Akinjide, and former PDP Deputy National Chairman Chief Olabode George.
Among others are Hon. Nnena Ukeje, Dr. Eddy Olafeso, Chief Emma Ogidi, and Dr. Ali Odefa. The conference takes place amid zoning debate.
A rumoured meeting on the party’s zoning structure scheduled for today in Lagos State has already been rejected as unlawful by several Southern party stakeholders.

The stakeholders are allegedly proceeding with the meeting, which began at 2:30 pm, in spite of the objections.
