The public has been cautioned by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) about a number of fraudulent social media accounts and internet URLs that purport to be the party’s official membership registration platform.
Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, signed an official statement on Sunday that included this information.
The ADC stated in the statement that it has not released a link for public online membership registration.

The statement made it clear that you should ignore all URLs that are being shared.
The party went on to say that it is currently working on creating an official platform for membership registration and verification, which will eventually be properly published through verified party channels.
“ADC will never request payments or sensitive personal information through unofficial links, WhatsApp messages, direct messages, or third-party websites,” the statement read.

The party further gave clear instructions to the public on how to protect themselves from scams.
“The public is advised not to click on suspicious or unverified links, not to share unconfirmed registration messages, and not to submit personal information including name, phone number, Permanent Voter Card (PVC) details, Bank Verification Number (BVN), or payment information on any unverified platform. Any suspicious links should be reported to the ADC through official party communication channels.”

“All legitimate ADC announcements, including the launch of the official membership registration platform, will only be communicated through verified ADC platforms and formal statements from the party leadership,” the statement added.
The party pledged to take all necessary measures to safeguard the public and maintain the party’s integrity, as well as to actively address the issue.
