BREAKING: Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Reinstated.
Muhammadu Sanusi II has been reinstated as the Emir of Kano following the Kano State House of Assembly’s decision to dismantle the four new emirates created under a 2019 law.
The law had divided Kano into five emirates to reduce Sanusi’s influence, but the assembly has now voted to revert to the previous system. The bill awaits the governor’s assent, but credible sources confirm Sanusi’s reinstatement, with his return to Kano expected on Friday.
