Allegation of missing funds is false – Access Bank
Access Bank Limited has denied claims of losing funds and unethical behaviour.
According to the bank’s statement: “Our attention has been drawn to a video on social media wherein allegations of missing funds and unethical behaviour have been made against Access Bank PLC.”First and foremost, we want to emphasize that the safety and security of our customers’ cash are top considerations that we take very seriously. Second, Access Bank plc does not engage in or condone unethical activity.
“In the instant case, the allegations of missing funds in the Bank are most untrue and baseless.
“There is no N500million or any other fund or amount missing from the subject customer’s account or from any other customer’s account with us.“We other independent stakeholders in the banking industry have thoroughly studied these charges and reached similar conclusions.”Access Bank PLC acts with the greatest ethical standards, protecting our clients’ interests while adhering to privacy regulations.
“As a result, while we have and will continue to engage with our consumers, we must urge the public not to depend on or believe sensational and unconfirmed statements that are intended to titillate and mislead them.
