Nigerian government closes pricey Abuja school after bullying incident, with the culprit seeking forgiveness.
The Nigerian government has closed Lead British International School in Gwarimpa, Abuja, following outcry over viral videos depicting student bullying. Minister of Women Affairs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye and Education Minister Tahir Mamman visited the school to investigate. The school is closed for three days pending investigations, with possible extension. The FCT Police Command has launched its probe and deployed officers to maintain order. The student responsible for the bullying has apologized in a viral video, expressing remorse. The school’s management is conducting its own investigation and offering counseling and disciplinary measures.
