269 Suspects Arrested in Kano Over Vandalism During Protests.
The Kano State Police Command arrested 269 suspects for looting and destruction of government and public properties during nationwide protests. The arrests led to the recovery of items including 25-litre jerricans of vegetable oil, stationeries, and foodstuffs. The police emphasized that violence, looting, and spreading fake news will not be tolerated. Residents were urged to comply with the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state government. The suspects are being held at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and will face charges after the investigation is complete.
