Instagram influencer Egungun of Lagos finds himself in yet another controversy, as a lady accuses him of proposing a hotel meeting back in 2020.

This comes amidst an ongoing scandal involving a leaked intimate video and allegations of infidelity.

Egungun’s wife had earlier revealed on social media that her husband was being blackmailed over the leaked footage.

The scandal quickly became the talk of the town, drawing attention from all corners of the internet.

Adding fuel to the fire, a lady identified as @theboujeegirlie on X shared her own encounter with Egungun. According to her, he once invited her to a hotel in Surulere, claiming he would introduce her to Nigerian singer Zlatan.

She alleges this happened when they were both at the University of Lagos and after Zlatan had publicly promoted Egungun in his signature masquerade outfit.

Sharing details on X, @theboujeegirlie wrote, “Egungun of Lagos wey tell me make I come hotel for Surulere say he wan introduce me to Zlatan? God will punish that boy sehh 😂😂😂.”

She explained that the incident occurred during her pursuit of a music career, shortly after a viral birthday video with Egungun brought them together as acquaintances.

Initially, some commenters questioned the claim, suggesting that meeting someone at a hotel didn’t automatically imply anything inappropriate.

One user, @Kelvdunski, commented, “At a hotel, not a hotel room. I don’t know how you guys think oo.”

But @theboujeegirlie wasn’t having it. She clapped back, clarifying that Egungun had actually given her a room number.

She wrote, “Person wey give me room number??? Lmaooooo. Let’s just let bygones be bygones. 2020 is a long time ago 💀💀.”

The revelation added more drama to an already heated situation. While some criticized Egungun for his alleged actions, others dismissed the accusations as a thing of the past, urging everyone to move on.
