Activist VeryDarkMan Granted Bail After 3 Weeks in Prison.
Excitement is buzzing on social media as activist VeryDarkMan has been granted bail after three weeks in prison.
On May 22, 2024, the Federal High Court in Abuja remanded Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, for cybercrime. The activist faced five counts of cyberstalking, including allegations of posting offensive videos on his Instagram account, ‘verydarkblackman.’
The court heard that VeryDarkMan falsely claimed actress Iyabo Ojo was involved in an inappropriate relationship with her daughter and accused actress Tonto Dike of misusing funds from the #JusticeforMohbadMovement. He also falsely alleged that senior police officers and senators were involved with cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky.
Famous Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut confirmed that VeryDarkMan appeared in court this morning, June 10, 2024, and his bail was granted. Ednut wrote, “THIS MORNING: VeryDarkMan seen in court this morning. Bail has been granted to him and requirements arrangements are currently being made. He will be home once he finishes that.”
