Mohbad’s wife demands an apology and threatens a N50 million lawsuit against her father-in-law for defamation.
Wunmi Aloba, spouse of the late musician Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, has officially issued a pre-action notice to her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba. In the notice, Wunmi demands an apology from Joseph for his defamatory social media and newspaper posts. She alleges he has engaged in derogatory name-calling and tarnished her reputation.

“We, as legal representatives of Mrs. Aloba Cynthia Omowunmi, have been briefed regarding recent defamatory actions against our client. Your newspaper campaign, characterized by calumny, character assassination, and defamation, has tarnished our client’s reputation.”
“Should you fail to comply with this demand, we will initiate legal proceedings and seek 50 million naira in damages.”
The letter highlighted an interview Mohbad’s father conducted with Westo Adejumo Adekunle on African television, where he expressed animosity towards his late son’s widow, Wunmi Aloba.
