Veteran actor Pete Edochie has left a lot of Nigerians in laughter as he spoke about a period of his life when he decided to give up booze and the results.
A brief video of the 78-year-old industry veteran recounting his New Year’s resolve from three years ago appeared online.
Pete Edochie talked about how, while joining the New Year’s resolution trend, he did not follow through on his choice. The movie actor stated that he told his pals about his choice, and they were pleased for him however his resolution was ruined when his buddies brought him out to celebrate in a matter of minutes, and he ended up consuming alcohol to celebrate.
The Nollywood actor said “About three years ago, I said in my New Year resolution that I was going to stop drinking. So my friends came, and I told them I had now resolved to stop drinking. They said that it was good. Let’s go and celebrate it. So we went back to drinking”.
The Nollywood actor previously became the talk of many on X following his unusual appearance in the skit created by content creator and skit producer Mr. Macaroni.
As part of the skit where he played the role of a man seeking Mr Macaroni’s daughter’s hand in marriage, the actor delivered some of his legendary proverbs for which he is widely known.
