In a Facebook post by Princess Olachi Francis, she revealed how a lady identified as Ogechi Okechukwu had connived with a doctor to fake an ailment and collect money for surgery from other Facebook users.
According to Francis, the lady had claimed she needed money for surgery, and people who felt sorry parted ways with their funds in a bit to contribute for her.
However, she was faking it all.
Francis wrote on her Facebook post,
“A woman identified as Ogechi Okechukwu has been arrested for allegedly collaborating with a doctor to defraud people on Facebook by falsely claiming she needed money for surgery.
“Popular Facebook influencer. Uwaoma Susan Joseph unknowingly helped raise thousands of naira for Ogechi, believing her appeal for surgery was genuine. However, investigations later revealed that the entire plea was a scam.
“Ogechi, who resides in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, was apprehended after incriminating evidence of her conversations with the doctor was uncovered on her phone.
“She is currently in detention as authorities continue their investigation into the fraudulent scheme.”
