Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur, Obinna Oyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has replied to his adopted first son, Chidi’s claim of being his next of kin.
The billionaire’s adopted son, Chidi sparked a sensation after jumping on a viral TikTok challenge known as “nothing do my shoulder”, claiming to be the billionaire’s next of kin.
He captioned the video, “Nothing do my shoulder, I just realize say I be next of kin.”
In what appears to be a response of his adopted son’s video, Obi Cubana shared a photo of himself and his biological son Alex on Instagram with the caption, “Ancient and modern, eyes on the ball, @dtwalx aka next of kin.”
Taking to the comments section, Obi’s biological son, Alex replied his father’s post, “Using my headphones right now,” to which Obi Cubana replied, “Correct boy, original next-of-kin.”
Obi Cubana’s post generated uproar with many berating him for not settling the problem within, adding that his response was petty and that the he should have simply cautioned the boy. Some others like social media influencer Solomon Buchi have condemned Obi Cubana for clearly distinguishing between an adopted son and a biological son stating that both sons should be treated in the same way.
Others have expressed displeasure for the adopted son’s actions, citing that he should have known his place rather than making such robust claims.
Following this, Obi’s adopted son wasted no time in posting flashy pictures of his luxury lifestyle on Instagram, including a powerful picture of him stepping out of a fancy car in a stately fashion.
