Popular Nigerian music star Burna Boy is set to team up with Colombian pop sensation Shakira for the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup 2026 titled “Dai Dai.”
This marks the second straight World Cup tournament to feature a Nigerian artiste on its official soundtrack, following Davido’s appearance on the 2022 World Cup anthem, “Hayya Hayya (Better Together).”
The highly anticipated track is scheduled for release on Thursday, May 14.
Sharing the announcement on social media, Shakira wrote:
“From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy.”
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with the tournament set to take place from June 11 to July 19.
