Minister of works, David Umahi, has expressed firm confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will completely overcome Nigeria’s insecurity challenges within the next five years if given another mandate.

Umahi made the remark on Saturday at Umunaga Ward in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State during the APC presidential primary election.

He further stated that said the 5,009 party members who turned out at the ward to elect President Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election symbolisez the people’s trust and confidence in the president.

Speaking to party leaders and supporters, Umahi also described Ebonyi State as an All Progressives Congress (APC) stronghold and emphasised that the populace had decided to show complete allegiance to President Tinubu and the ruling party.

He claimed that the large turnout of party members demonstrated the public’s gratitude for Tinubu’s administration, particularly for the infrastructure projects and appointments being carried out throughout the South-East.

Additionally, he said that through important appointments and development initiatives, President Tinubu has incorporated the South-East into national politics.

He said, “Bola Tinubu is the Biafra we have been looking for. A man who has integrated the entire South-East, given us juicy appointments and very important infrastructure.”

Speaking about the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, Umahi acknowledged the initial challenges Nigerians encountered but maintained that the measures have stabilised the country’s economy.

He also insisted that the country had passed through its most difficult phase and expressed optimism that ordinary Nigerians would soon begin to feel the benefits of the reforms at the grassroots level.
