Iran has made the United States an offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and put an end to the war in exchange for the United States lifting its blockade of the route.
The offer was initially reported by Axios, which cited two people with knowledge of the situation as well as a US official.
The agreement, which Pakistan presented to the Americans, also delays nuclear talks.
Since stopping Iran’s uranium enrichment is one of Trump’s main objectives, it remains unclear whether he will accept it.

Recall that the blockage of the Strait is one of US strongest tools in the war and conflict over the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, the Strait will be “Sealed up Tight” until Iran can reach an agreement.
Since the conflict between Iran and the US/Israel began in February, control of the canal has been disputed.
Iran’s de facto blockade of the strait severely hampered global oil supply, driving up prices and compelling nations to implement drastic energy-saving measures.
Meanwhile, the US blockade is intended to keep Iran from exporting its oil, depriving it of vital income and possibly forcing Tehran to halt production because it has nowhere to store the oil.
However, diplomatic negotiations to reduce hostilities between the belligerent nations are at a standstill.

Following the latest development, Trump and his top national security and international policy staff are scheduled to meet in a situation room on Iran on Monday.
BACKSTORY…
Following conflict, Donald Trump on April 19 issued fresh threats to destroy Iran’s infrastructure if talks over the strait fails.
Trump made this new threat in a post on his Truth Social on Sunday.
He also said he was sending a delegation to Pakistan on Monday, April 20 for negotiations with Iran.
Few days after, Trump also announced that he has directed the U.S. Navy to use lethal force on any vessels suspected of laying naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
