Purpose Statement:
The role seeks to ensure superior presence in key accounts and share growth through consistent coverage, stock availability, promotion, right pricing, and activities to grow share.
Key Accountabilities:
- Consistently deliver sales, facing, distribution, and share targets. Prepare sales forecasts ensuring 80% forecast accuracy.
- Develop productive long-term relationships with customers.
- Create long-term strategies with clients.
- Act as the main contact for existing and new customers.
- Initiate and support annual marketing plans aligned with strategy and agreed upon with management and the regional marketing team. Report progress and suggest changes or amendments.
- Coordinate with distributors to improve the company’s share of shelf versus competitors and amplify product visibility.
- Ensure proper placement of impulse products in checkout areas, in-category, and selectively out-of-category.
- Effectively manage credits to key accounts through weekly reconciliations and follow-ups to ensure compliance with credit policies.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Sciences, Art, or Humanities fields.
- Experience:
- Preferably in FMCG sales.
- Modern trade exposure is an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and team orientation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sales and target orientation.
- Attention to detail and creativity.
- Research skills and market intelligence.
