Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba Ahmed has cautioned critics against attempting to create division between him and the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Sunday, Datti responded to criticisms that he failed to deliver his ward and local government for the Labour Party during the 2023 elections.
He said Peter Obi, who was the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in 2023, remains one of the politicians he deeply respects.
According to him, although they now belong to different political parties, their relationship remains cordial and built on mutual respect.
“Nobody will cause a problem between me and my boss, Peter Obi. We may belong to different parties today, but I still respect him as someone who governed and someone who doesn’t give shishi,” he said.
Datti added that both of them still hold each other in high regard and insisted that no one would come between them.
