Four footballers killed, 13 others injured in Plateau auto crash
Four Lebwit Football Academy players lost their lives in a car accident along the Kwanan-Maciji Pankshin-Kanke road in Plateau State.
The dead ones include Shikritda Goma, Chapbe Gontur, Nenyitwe Gopar, and Dargak Caleb.

The coach of Plateau University FC, Habila Hosea Mutla, told Daily Trust on Thursday, April 24, 2024, that some players were also involved in accidents on Wednesday.
He stated the affected athletes were being treated at the General Hospital, Pankshin.
“”It is unfortunate that four lives have been claimed in the mishap. Eager young footballers dying this way is discouraging,” he said.

“”Shikritda Goma, Chapbe Gontur, Nenyitwe Gopar, and Dargak Caleb of Lebwit football academy of Kanke lost their lives in the fatal accident that occurred on their way back from a friendly football match in Pankshin. Other injured players are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital Pankshin, Yaksat Maklek.”
