Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi are set to dump the ADC and join the NDC.
Habibu Mohammed, spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya movement, disclosed this on Friday.
Mohammed said the negotiations with the NDC have reached a stage where only a few issues remain to be settled.
He said, “The stakeholders have unanimously given him the go-ahead to move to the NDC.”

ADC Crisis Fuelling Move
Sources said both men plan to move due to the ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC.
Recall that the supreme court on Thursday overturned the lingering ADC leadership lawsuit, sending the case back to the federal high court for decision-making. This effectively restarted the struggle without finding a solution.

Mohammed also claims the Supreme Court’s decision only increased concerns about ambiguity within the party.
Mohammed also disclosed that there are three pending cases against the ADC at the federal high court, adding that the legal landscape as too murky for comfort.
He added that the movement acted because the deadline to submit party membership registrations to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is approaching.
He said, “Staying in ADC at this stage would amount to waiting for Godot.”
BACKSTORY…
Recall that Rabiu Kwankwaso only recently joined the ADC a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi on the other hand has been absent from all ADC meetings following the All Opposition Political Party Leaders summit in Ibadan, Oyo state.
This comes only few weeks after supporters of Obi and Kwankwaso launched a joint movement called OK- Obi, Kwankwaso.
