2027 Rivers Race: PDP Tells Ganduje There’s No Vacancy
The Edwin Woko-led faction of the PDP in Rivers State has criticized Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, over his recent remarks concerning the APC’s ambition to ensure the win in Rivers State.
On the Inauguration of the Tony Okocha-led APC state executive in Port Harcourt on Saturday, Ganduje declared that capturing Rivers State’s government House is a major priority for APC in the upcoming elections. In response, Chief Edwin Woko firmly rejected Abduallhi’s comments, stating that Rivers State has no vacancy in 2027.
Chief Edwin Woko, also stated ” That good people of Rivers State would ensure the leave no stone unturnedto ensure that Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s second term bid to be unhindered.
Woko went ahead to remind Ganduje that the people of Rivers State had rejected APC and the people of the state will continue to reject APC and her unhappy and unfriendly policies to the people. He also stated that the present Governor Fubara will still contest for the 2027 election on the platform of the PDP, even with all the challenges and disunity been inflicted on the PDP by some political scoundrels’ that caused great harm to the great PDP. Ganduje and the people of APC rivers counterpart.
APC river counterpart, Woko, stated that the incest of democracy that took place during the last gubernatorial election in Edo state cannot be replicated in Rivers state, stating that elections must be done by voting and not by capturing not by robbing people of their hard earned votes.
Woko claims that the congress that produced Mr Chukwuemeka and his executive committee in July 202 was conducted in violation of the existing court order and therefore illegal.
