BREAKING: Abba Yusuf Stands by Sanusi’s Emirate, Evicts Ado Bayero.

Kano State’s government, led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed that Muhammadu Sanusi II remains the 16th Emir of Kano following a court ruling on Thursday. Despite the legal decision, the administration has moved to enforce this position by issuing directives to the state police and initiating actions against the former emir, Aminu Ado Bayero.

The State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Isa Dederi, alongside the Secretary to the State Government, Baffa Bichi, addressed the media at the government house. They announced that the government has instructed the Kano State Commissioner of Police to remove Aminu Ado Bayero from the Gidan Nassarawa mini palace. This removal is to facilitate the demolition of the building, indicating the government’s commitment to their decision and the court’s ruling.

Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration appears to be taking decisive steps to reinforce Sanusi’s position as the rightful emir, emphasizing the legality of their stance and the importance of adhering to the court’s decision. The move to demolish the palace occupied by Ado Bayero signals a strong stance by the current administration in favor of Sanusi, aiming to eliminate any physical remnants of the previous emirate’s leadership.

The legal and political landscape in Kano remains tense, with these developments likely to have significant implications for the emirate’s leadership and the broader regional politics.
