Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdullahi Ibrahim, has criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, accusing him of repeatedly undermining and embarrassing the party.

In an interview with Arise News on Wednesday, Abdullahi Ibrahim described Wike’s decision to lay down six conditions ahead of the PDP’s upcoming national convention as outrageous—particularly given that he is currently serving in a government led by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Why are you coming up with six conditions?” Ibrahim asked.
“You are giving PDP conditions, and the entire country is laughing at us all because of one individual who is on the APC’s payroll. Enough is enough. We have to draw the line; he cannot continue like this.”
The PDP spokesman explained that while he once supported Wike’s stance against the party’s zoning arrangement before the 2023 elections, the minister’s actions have now gone beyond genuine concerns.
“I have spoken up for him more than anyone else in this party, justifying his stand against the zoning formula in 2023. I have supported him in many battles. But there comes a time when a responsible person must stop,” Ibrahim said.
According to Abdullahi Ibrahim, the PDP must protect its image and unity by resisting any further attempts at blackmail or distraction.
