Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has stated that he would support the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate—on one condition.

Amaechi pledged his support if the candidate emerges through a free and fair primary process.
Speaking during an X Space session titled ‘Weekend Politics’, he affirmed his readiness to back the ADC candidate in the 2027 election with the goal of unseating President Bola Tinubu.
He said: “In a free and fair primary, whoever wins will have my full support. I will be deeply devoted to the campaign and will do everything in my ability to help ADC unseat this current clueless government.
“I will abandon the coastal road, that road is for stealing.
“Electoral reforms are the lowest hanging fruits for me if I become President.
“There will be electoral reforms in my first six months.”
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, are believed to be interested in ADC’s presidential ticket.
