President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, former President Muhammadu Buhari, governors, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and other leaders extended their Eid-el-Kabir greetings and emphasized the importance of peace and sacrifice in their messages to Muslim faithful across Nigeria.

President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace sacrifice, exhibit good citizenship, and show kindness during challenging economic times. He underscored that Eid-el-Kabir signifies sacrifice, faith, and submission to the will of Allah, emphasizing the need for unity and gratitude.

Vice-President Kashim Shettima prayed for peace and a bountiful harvest, stressing the critical role of peace in fostering national development, especially during the farming season.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari called on Nigerians to promote self-reliance by growing their own food amidst economic challenges. He encouraged citizens to support local production to strengthen the country’s stability and prosperity.

Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II of Kano urged Muslims to follow Prophet Muhammad’s teachings by assisting the less privileged during Eid celebrations, emphasizing the importance of charity and prayers for peaceful coexistence.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State echoed the call to support the needy, urging everyone to share their blessings and uphold the spirit of giving during the festive period.

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State highlighted unity, sacrifice, and compassion as essential values for building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State urged Muslims to promote love, sacrifice, tolerance, and unity as they commemorated Eid-el-Kabir, calling on them to pray for and support the government’s efforts towards fulfilling its electoral mandate.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State emphasized peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, urging unity and cooperation across different tribes and religious beliefs to overcome national challenge.
