El-Rufai Superior to Tinubu’s Entire Cabinet, Says APC Chieftain
A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has asserted that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, seems to be superior, more intelligent, and more courageous than all the federal ministers.
According to Naijaeyes, El-Rufai recently had a fallout with some APC leaders after he criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
At a recent gathering in Abuja, the ex-governor announced that he no longer acknowledges the ruling party, claiming that the APC has ceased to practice internal democracy.
He further charged the party with abandoning its foundational values and allowing poor leadership to prevail.
These remarks did not sit well with some of the president’s supporters, who retaliated with harsh criticisms directed towards the former governor.
Reno Omokri, a loyal advocate of Tinubu’s administration, accused El-Rufai of masterminding the killings of residents in Kaduna State during his time as governor.
Omokri characterized El-Rufai as a tyrant who revels in seeing “blood flowing on the streets of Kaduna.”
In the face of the backlash, Igbokwe expressed on his official Facebook page why the party should still value the former governor, mentioning that influential figures like El-Rufai played a crucial role in securing Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 elections.
Igbokwe questioned why certain groups within the government thwarted El-Rufai’s appointment after he was nominated as the minister of power.
He stated, “Looking at everything, APC Nigeria truly needs the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. He put in tremendous effort for APC during the 2023 Presidential and Governorship Elections.
“I witnessed how Gov El-Rufai, former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and another governor intervened to halt Emefiele’s questionable money policy aimed at PBAT, which nearly jeopardized PBAT’s victory. I also recall the significant efforts he made to keep Kaduna under APC’s control.
“HE El-Rufai was proposed as a Minister, and we allowed dubious individuals without integrity to come to the esteemed Senate and obstruct his nomination for unknown reasons. If fairness were to prevail, he should have simply taken a bow and walked away.
“APC permitted these outsiders to depart with their malicious behaviors. Now let me pose this question: Which among all the Ministers in the Federal Cabinet is more exceptional, wiser, bolder, more capable, proficient, and insightful than Mallam El-Rufai?
“Overlooking and disregarding our own esteemed scholar in the best tradition is incomprehensible and entirely intolerable. May we always remember this spirited individual with immense talent and capability. Malam El-Rufai is indeed a remarkable man.
“For whatever reason, APC NIGERIA must not overlook this outstanding individual. We cannot afford to let him fall into the hands of the opposition party. He is one of the key figures we cannot afford to lose during such critical times. Case closed.”
