Following his release from detention after meeting his bail conditions, human rights activist lawyer Dele Farotimi has not kept quiet but insisted that the allegations he made against Afe Babalola (SAN) in his controversial book, ‘Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System’ are true.
He spoke while addressing journalists after regaining his freedom from the Ekiti State Correctional Centre.
Farotimi said, “It is not ever an easy journey when you are fighting evil, but some years back, before I started this work, God told me that the truth is enough.
“It is the only weapon with which you can slay the monster called Nigeria, which is the truth.
“In my war against the evil empire that we all live in, I have never lied against anyone. If I don’t know, I will say I don’t know.”
Part of Farotimi’s bail conditions include N30 million, releasing his passport to the authorities, and not granting media interviews till the case has been settled.
