The Labour Party’s (LP) Enugu State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Titus Odo, has announced his defection to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday.
The former state commissioner for chieftaincy affairs, Prince Emeka Mamah, who served as the state coordinator for the Peter Obi presidential campaign in the 2023 election, joined Odo in defecting to the PDP.

During the general elections in 2023, the duo left from the PDP to Labour Party, according to the previous reports.
At the party’s State Secretariat, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, the state PDP Chairman, welcomed the defectors and expressed his satisfaction with their choice to rejoin the party.
He said, “We are happy to have them in our midst and God has set this party on a good foot as 2027 is already assured,” he said.

Speaking to the party state chairman after their presentation, Odo said he was happy to rejoin his old party and that Mbah’s significant advancements in the state had influenced his choice.
In his words, “I am happy to tell you that I am back to my home. I came back because of the giant developmental strides of Gov Mbah and I say kudos to him.
“The second reason is the defection of my immediate boss, the LP Governorship candidate for the 2023 election in Enugu State, Dr Chijioke Edeoga.”

“Another reason is that the Council Chairman in Igboeze North, Mr Uchenna Ogara is turning the Council Area into a township,” he added.
Mamah also expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership in the state chapter, Igboeze North, and the Enugu North senatorial zone for welcoming him back to the party, adding that he was “pleased by the performance of the governor.”
